Tanjung Bira

Tanjung Bira is a white sand beach is very well known in South Sulawesi. These include coastal beaches are clean, neat, and clear seawater. Beauty and comfort to the beach is famous around the world. Foreign tourists from various countries many who visit this place for a vacation.

Feature
Tanjung Bira beach is very beautiful and stunning white sand as soft as flour. On location, visitors can swim, sunbathing, diving and snorkeling. Location

Cave Burials Londa



Description
Londa is a tomb in the form of natural caves. This cave has the depth of about 1000 meters, dark, in some places up and down quite steep, and some only have a height of about one meter, so one must bend to pass through. Inside the cave there are hundreds of thousands of skulls and bones of some hundreds of years old. There are also many coffins are still new. The air in the cave was cool, not stuffy or smelly even in the caves there are many bodies.

Location
Londa is located in the village Sendan UAI, sub Sanggalai, is about 7 miles south of Rantepao, the Capital District of Tana Toraja.

Access

Lemo stone graves



Description
At Lemo, there is a cemetery on a hill made of stone. Was named Lemo hill, because the rounded shape resembles a lemon fruit (citrus). In this rock there are about 75 graves holes, each hole is a grave one family. From the outside, which looks just the door-hole course, which was covered with wooden boards. The location of these holes is quite high, reaching tens of meters. The corpse is inserted into the hole with a ladder or towed by a rope. Hole size is big enough, about three meters by five meters. To make this hole requires considerable cost, around Rp. 30 million rupiah, because the hole made by chiseling the rock manually. Work to make this hole usually takes six months to one year.

Feature

Kate' Kesu

Description
Kete 'difficulties is one of the most popular tourist destination in Toraja. Kete 'difficulties means' center'. Designations were in accordance with what can be found there, namely the existence of the township, where the carving handicrafts, and the grave. Activity center is a row of traditional houses called 'tongkonan', derived from the word 'tongkon' which means 'to sit together'. Rambu Solo Ceremonial



Description
Solo is a sign of society's death rituals of Tana Toraja, which aims to honor and bring the spirit of people who die into the spirit realm, which is returned to immortality with their ancestors at a resting place, called by Puya, which is located in the southern part of human habitation. The ceremony is often also referred to improvements death ceremonies. It was said, because the person who died just considered really dead after all this ceremony procession was fulfilled. If not, then the person who died was only regarded as being "sick" or "weak", so he still treated like a living person, which is laid up in bed and given a dish of food and drinks, even always talk to.

Therefore, local people consider this very important ceremony, because the perfection of this ceremony will determine the position of the spirits of the dead person, whether as a haunting (bombo), spirits that reach the level of god (to-membali Puang), or a patron deity ( deata). In this context, the ritual signs Solo becomes a "duty", so that in any way will mengadakannnya Tana Toraja society as a form of devotion to their parents died.

Solo Signs festive ceremony is determined by the family of the deceased's social status, measured by the number of animals sacrificed. More and more buffalo slaughtered, the higher the social status. Feature
The climax of the ceremony is called the Solo Rambu Rante ceremony which took place in a "special field". Interestingly, the buffalo was slaughtered in a very unique and is a hallmark of Tana Toraja society, namely cutting the buffalo's neck with a single blow. Tana Toraja is located about 350 km north of Makassar. Travel from Makassar to Tana Toraja can be achieved by using air and land routes.
